The
very thought of doing aerobics may conjure up a mental image of
somebody doing something very rigorous, working up a tremendous
sweat, working at it for hours on end, with the end result of
having sore muscle groups for days, especially in places that
you weren't even aware that you HAD muscle groups.
It
is not necesary to perform your aerobics workouts in a group or
even at the gym. Many people prefer that simply because that is
their personal preference for staying motivated, but you can do
aerobics at home, alone, just as easily. The key point is to DO
IT.
In
reality, if done properly, nothing could be further from the truth.
The goal of an aerobics workout is to keep your various muscle
groups exercised and toned up, as well as doing enough physical
activity to exercise your heart and the cardio vascular system.
Yes, that probably means working up a bit of a sweat, but if you
take the time -- MAKE the time -- to take care
of yourself today, you will thank and congratulate yourself tomorrow.
There is no doubt about it, the passing of time takes it toll
on our bodies, and activities that we can easily accomplish today
may be a much larger task or not even possible tomorrow.
Teach
yourself a new daily routine, even if it's only for 20 minutes
or a half hour. One of the keys to proper and effective aerobics
workouts is to make it a part of your regular daily routine. This
site should help you understand how to do that, the proper clothing
to wear and why, as well as various methods found to keep your
motivation level high. |
